Client: Arlington County Commuter Services

Project: CommuterDirect Website

Inspired to improve mobility and reduce traffic in the Washington, D.C. area, the Arlington County Commuter Services program works with lead designer and developer Redmon to provide a flexible, scalable, one-stop shopping site for nearly $70 million annually in sales of tickets, tokens, and passes for transit systems throughout the region. Individual commuters can place one-time and recurring orders, and Corporate Services enables organizations to manage employee transit benefits efficiently with easy-to-use tools, fulfillment histories, and detailed reporting features.

Redmon created a secure management system and database that handles product management, account management, payment authorization, order fulfillment, order tracking, inventory tracking, system accounting, and reporting. The system also incorporates diverse payment options that include major credit cards, checking accounts, and transit vouchers such as Metrochek.
