Hosted by beer expert and best-selling author Michael Jackson, “The Beer Hunter” guides the user through the beer renaissance in America and includes detailed information on the nation's best beers as well as sections on the art and history of brewing. Riding the wave of critical and commercial success created by the release of the first "Beer Hunter" CD-ROM, Discovery Channel Multimedia decided to expand its horizons to include other beer-brewing countries with a sequel, “World Beer Hunter” also developed by Redmon. Together, the Beer Hunter titles profile hundreds of pubs and breweries worldwide, and functions as reference tools and introductions to the art and artistry of beer brewing. Both are supported by hours of audio and video clips, all seasoned with Jackson's refreshing wit. The programs allow users to search for the best beers and join Jackson on a hunt for over 300 world-class brews.
