Over 100 buses a day serve the Southern Towers community in Alexandria, Virginia. Now Redmon's Transit Displays, deployed at 3 locations, help residents know exactly when their bus will arrive before heading outside to the bus stop.
Redmon deployed 5 Transit Displays to the Kent Central Gateway in Kent, Ohio for the Portage Area Regional Transportation Authority (PARTA). The displays help inform riders when their bus is arriving and at what bay. Bus routes, arrival times, and service alerts are shown alongside custom content managed by PARTA with Redmon's content management system.

In 1998, Redmon worked with Arlington County Commuter Services and The Convention Store to create one of the first secure management systems and database for purchasing transit fares online. In its first year, the site collected $30 thousand in fare sales. Today, the site, still maintained by Redmon, collects nearly $70 million per year in transit fares in a multi-jurisdictional, multi-modal system!
Redmon designed and installed custom interactive exhibits for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources that helps educate kids about impacts to natural resources.
Redmon Transit Displays will deployed throughout the I-66 corridor, helping keep travelers informed on upcoming arrivals and all the transit service options available. At an event featuring Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the Department of Rail and Public Transportation, the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC), state and local leaders celebrated the new multimodal transit services coming to the I-66 corridor in Northern Virginia.
Redmon designed and developed two web systems for the Greater Richmond Transit Company’s (GRTC) web destination marketing project: an Itinerary Management System (IMS) and a microsite template for the system’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stations. The IMS provides a complete custom itinerary that helps users choose multiple destinations, provides directions on how to travel to each location by public transit, and incorporates location dwell time so users can know exactly when and where to catch the bus to their next location.
Redmon Group, in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and Iteris, solicited a user feedback survey to evaluate the six Traveler Information Displays (TIDs) at Tysons Corner Center. Overall, the survey results indicate overwhelming support for real-time traffic and transit information from travelers in Tysons Corner.
GoRaleigh Transit deployed 23 Redmon Transit Displays in Raleigh, North Carolina. Redmon designed and installed our Transit Display system at their newly renovated downtown station. The station serves 35 GoRaleigh and GoTriangle bus routes daily and accommodates 80 buses per hour during the peak rush.
NYC Ferry partnered with Redmon to develop and place Transit Displays at the ferry landings around New York City. The displays will feature ferry departure times, boarding alerts, nearby Citi bike availability, nearby bus arrivals and our Push-to-Talk text-to-speech devices.
Partnered with Design Minds, Redmon Group designed, programmed and installed touch-screen interactives and digital signage for an exhibit space at the Education Center of Alexandria Renew Enterprises (ARE), a water recovery and treatment facility. Working closely with library staff, Redmon conceptualized and developed 3 separate interactive programs that touch on various stages of Churchill's life, emphasizing his writings.
