Northrop Grumman Information Technology (NGIT) has over 22,500 employees and 350 locations worldwide. It processes over 18,000 timesheets per pay period and as many as 1,700 expense reports per week. Using DATABASICS' TimeSite and ExpenSite, NGIT converted all legacy time and expense reporting systems to a single approved time entry system and a single approved expense reporting system. To help their employees learn how to use the new systems, NGIT asked Redmon to design and build efficient and cost-effective just-in-time training courseware.
The TimeSite and ExpenSite courses focus on how to input time records (to ensure correct compensation for approved working hours), and how to input NGIT approved expenses to the corporate expense reporting tool (to ensure proper reconciliation and/or compensation). The courses contain HTML-formatted critical path content to instruct users on the key points for using the two applications, along with animations to demonstrate both systems. When they log in, users choose which version they want to use--with or without full narration--based on their individual needs, hardware and software configurations, and working environment.
