The EdVenture Children's Museum in Columbia , South Carolina enables school children to explore the adult "World of Work". Redmon created several interactive exhibits for the museum including:
Children arrive at EdVenture and wave their "Eddie Buck" card (containing a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag) to activate the various interactive exhibits. Redmon's custom RFID data system writes information directly to the visitors RFID-enabled Eddie Buck, saving costs by avoiding the necessity for networking and servers to store visitor-specific information. The RFID data system is integrated quickly and easily into all exhibit systems. In addition to keeping track of the various jobs a child has performed in the World of Work, the RFID data is read and stored at the RFID pick-up station so that Museum staff can use the gathered information to study exhibit usage. Finally, Redmon's Coordinator and Manager custom exhibit management components provide stability and manage user timeout.
