The DEA Museum asked Redmon to design and build interactive components for their "Target America: Opening Eyes to the Damage Drugs Cause " traveling exhibit, which demonstrates the historic and contemporary connections between global drug trafficking and terrorism, and explains some of the underlying causes of the September 11 terrorist attacks. The public opening in Arlington, Virginia in September 2002, was attended by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, DEA Director Asa Hutchinson, and Attorney General John Ashcroft.
The components include: Tracking Global Narco-Terrorism is an animated map-based exploration of drug production, trafficking, and money laundering, where visitors can learn the role played by individual countries in the international drug trade. You're In Charge is a PC-based strategy/role-playing game where visitors can allocate the DEA's limited resources to combat drugs and terrorism. Online Guestbook invites visitors to share and record their thoughts and feelings. The software allows museum staff to screen and select quotes for the Guestbook's attract loop and the exhibit's Web site. Redmon also provided audio/visual support to the exhibit and built the companion Web site and CD-ROM.
