In an effort to increase automated bookings for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCCL), the marketing department of RCCL sought to improve the way in which its travel agents are training to use its computerized reservation system. RCCL wanted to enhance the learning experience of the travel agents by providing an effective training program that could put agents in realistic situations in an engaging and entertaining manner.
To achieve its mission, RCCL called upon Redmon to design and develop a one-hour Web-based training program called CruiseMatch 2000. The program uses a cartoon character to guide users through role-playing scenarios that ultimately educate travel agents on how to use RCCL's booking system.
