Client: Challenger Center for Space Science Education

Project: Space Weather Team for Challenger Learning Centers

The Space Weather Team is a new add-on station for existing Challenger Center missions where students work collaboratively to assess a Coronal Mass Ejection (solar flare) and minimize the potential damage the flare can cause people and hardware in space.  At Challenger Learning Centers students take the roles of mission controllers and space explorers to accomplish missions relevant to science and technology concepts being taught in their schools.  Redmon staff collaborated with Challenger Center and the NASA Goddard’s Space Weather Action Center Team on the instructional design of the new station, and implemented the final design.
