Berlitz has been the world leader in providing successful language training services for over 130 years. Seeking to upgrade the e-Learning component of their BerlitzEnglish Levels 1-4 program, Berlitz worked with Redmon Group to redesign their companion website. The site is an interactive supplement to Berlitzs synchronous training program. The Flash-based application is organized by level of difficulty and consists of hundreds of activities to help learners review and practice vocabulary, grammar, conversation, and listening comprehension.
Redmon Group developed an intricate and flexible system. Learners can view their progress as they work through the activities. Berlitz administrators can assist, track, and manage users, as well as view activity reports by user, by Language Center and by country. The interactive activities, developed by Berlitz, were converted to a format that can be easily updated by those not familiar with high-end web development and displayed on screen through the Flash-based interface. Many activities feature audio and video components, which enable users to listen, watch, and even record and playback their own conversations.
